Today, I’m leaving for Thrillerfest in New York City. I’ve never been, so I have no idea what to expect. The line-up of authors attending is pretty impressive: R.L. Stine, Lee Child, John Sandford, Catherine Coulter, Ann Rule, Richard North Patterson, and Karin Slaughter, just to name a few.
BEWARE, BLATANT SELF-PROMO HERE: I have to give a one-minute speech at the Debut Authors’ Breakfast (which I haven’t written yet. How many words can you say in a minute?). I’ll be signing books in the bookstore at 11:30 AM. Also, SHE CAN RUN is a finalist for Best First Novel at the Thriller Awards Banquet on Saturday night.See all the nominees here.
International Thriller Writers is a fabulous, very diverse organization. Be sure to check out their website if you write anything that qualifies as a thriller (the list is long and varied).
If you’re going to Thrillerfest, comment and I’ll look for you. Any bits of advice from T-fest veterans? What are some of the best events I should make sure I don’t miss?

Melinda, I’ve been twice and you are going to have a great time. Good luck at the awards dinner!
Thanks, Stacey! I’m really excited.
