Okay, I admit to not knowing what to write for today’s blog. I was going to put up our black belt demo from two weeks ago just for fun–because we all can use some fun right about now–but we did it to the song Gangnam Style and I didn’t want to violate any copy write laws, so I nixed that idea.
I’m not feeling particularly inspiring today, (don’t know if I ever really inspired anyone, but I did get a few likes on past posts, so I must have done something right). Besides how can I inspire anyone when I’m struggling to keep it all together myself? I just turned in the second round of revisions for book 1 and am polishing up book 2 to hand in. It’s *ahem* late. My editor probably hates me. 
I feel like a duck: trying to keep afloat by paddling like hell.
I still have presents to wrap. Actually I still have presents to buy. Yes, I am behind on Christmas. In fact, the only reason Christmas cards have been sent, the house is decorated, and presents have been bought and wrapped is because I have an amazing husband. I was ready to skip the yearly Christmas cookie bake-a-thon tradition this year, but my twelve year old was so disappointed that I caved. We called grandma and she was able to come down the next day. Though we didn’t bake as much as we normally do, we baked a lot. And it was fun! I’m so glad we spent the time together, because that is what life is all about, right? 
Back to the blog…I need your help. I need some ideas to write about. What are some topics you enjoy reading about? What would you like to see more of at Attacking The Page? Is it just me, or does anyone else feel like a duck?

Everyone has their traditions, a collection of little things that make the holiday season perfect. For me, it’s just not Christmas without a movie marathon. On Christmas day, while we’re opening presents and cooking dinner I’ll have my dvd player working overtime. Here’s are a few of the movies that will be entertaining me this year, in no particular order.
White Christmas – I love Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye, and Rosemary Clooney. When I was younger I’d watch this movie over and over and sing along, but then I do that with every musical that I like. I just love the soundtrack to this movie, it makes me happy.
Home Alone 1 & 2 – I just love these two movies. I think I’m partial to the second movie, Lost in New York. The beat down that little Kevin gives the two imbecile villains in this one is a riot.
Scrooge – There are many versions of this story but I’m partial to the musical version starring Albert Finney. Yes, I sing along with this one too, folks. 
Father Christmas, Father Christmas …
Muppet Christmas Carol – Who doesn’t love a movie full of muppets, music, and comedy? “Light the lamp, not the rat.” – Rizzo the Rat
Scrooged – Bill Murray, Bobcat Golthwaite, and the terrifically funny Carol Kane. It’s such a fun, modern day version of the story.
Last, but certainly not least
Mickey’s Christmas Carol (Anyone sensing a pattern? LOL!) – I just love the A Christmas Carol story in all of it’s variations. Because I’m a rabid Disney fan, this had to be on my list of to watch movies as well. Scrooge McDuck is the perfect Ebeneezer Scrooge. Plus this is always played in conjunction with one of my favorite Goofy cartoon where he’s learning to ski.
